Welcome to the Archives of the 100th Infantry Division

     The 100th Infantry Division was activated on November 15, 1942 at Fort Jackson, SC, under Major General Withers A. Burress (VMI, 1914), who retained command throughout the war.  This "All American Outfit" included men from all 48 states.
