MARSHALL–ARNOLD AIR FORCE ROTC AWARD SEMINAR

 

Please note the following

 

When you arrive at the hotel, please go to the front desk first to get your room key and then proceed upstairs to the Seminar registration area before going to your room. 

 

The Marshall Foundation is responsible for your ROOM charge only.  Any incidentals such as in-room movies will be your responsibility.  The front desk will ask for a credit card for those types of charges.

 

The Reston Town Center has an ice skating rink and will give a $3.00 discount to cadets who would like to skate.  The rink is directly behind the hotel.  To receive the discounted ticket, just let the attendant know you are a cadet participating in the Marshall–Arnold AIR FORCE ROTC Award Seminar.  The cost to you will be $10.00. 

 

There is a theater within the Reston Town Center complex.  They will give a discount to cadets who show a military ID.   The matinee (all shows before 6pm) will be $5.00, and evening shows (after 6pm) will be $7.00.

 

PLEASE–ANY CADET WHO IS VEGETARIAN, LET ME KNOW as soon as possible, as I need a count for the caterer.  You can email that information to me at  barrondg@marshallfoundation.org.   During meals also inform the wait staff that you are vegetarian.

For those who are flying into Dulles:  As you exit your plane and come into the terminal, you will come down a security hallway.  There will be an electronic welcome sign above the door that you go through into the terminal itself.  Go to the baggage claim and then to the Hyatt Regency Reston Town Center Shuttle buses.  Depending on which carousel your bags come in on, once you pick up luggage you will exit Door 2 or Door 6.  From there you will cross to curb 2A or 2H.  That is where you will catch a Hyatt Regency Reston shuttle to the hotel.  The shuttle only runs until 10 pm.  Those of you coming in later than that will need to take a taxi to the hotel and be reimbursed by the Marshall Foundation. 

 

For those cadets who will be driving to the Hyatt Regency Reston Town Center, free parking is available in the attached parking garage to the left of the hotel. 

 

Uniform requirements: Short Sleeve blues with or without sweater & Service Dress for all seminar functions except travel and tour of Washington.  For those, please wear clothing that is comfortable, casual–and WARM!!
