This is the second edition of Frank Hancock’s memoir, An Improbable Machine Gunner. The first edition was published in 1995, and a second in 1997. The second edition was revised in March, 2007 and June, 2008. His memoir was inspired by a question from his daughter, when she asked in 1975, “Dad, why don’t you write it all down? Then we’ll know where you went and what happened.” Happily, he did so.
He took notes for twenty years and after retiring, began compiling these notes, along with letters and visits. Here is his story of the men of Company M.
An Improbable Machine Gunner, 2nd revised edition. This link will open the entire 165 page document. Users with slower connections may want to look at it by chapter. Frank’s chapters are short, and several have been put together to make the documents listed below. These are generally 8-15 pages long.
