2015 was a wonderful year, full of new events and programming. 2016 is shaping up to be even better!
Join us on January 20, 2016 for special presentation “A Debt to Democracy and a Date with Destiny: The Women’s Army Corps and Its Legacy” by Francoise Barnes Bonnell, Ph.D, Director of the U.S. Army Women’s Museum at Fort Lee, Virginia. The new exhibition, “For My Country, For Myself,” that will be on display in the Lower Gallery through April. The doors will open at 4:45 for those who wish to see the exhibition that opens that day.
Discovery Days, a new program in 2016, starts February 20th. Kids can drop in and explore our monthly hands-on sessions at the George C. Marshall Museum and Library. Activities are included with your Museum admission. The theme in February will be “Working Together”. Join us as we create teams and work together on a Minecraft building challenge.
Also in February you’ll be able to meet a Tuskegee Airman! Join us and listen to Col. Robert Friend talk about his service during World War II and help us celebrate his 95th birthday!!
