Wooton recounts a time when he had to introduce General Marshall at a press club luncheon and describes Marshall’s conduct at press conferences. He talks about his colleague at the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Mr. Leonard Nicholson, who was Marshall’s roommate at the Virginia Military Institute. In response to Pogue’s questioning, Wooton comments on all the Presidents (Woodrow Wilson through Harry S. Truman) he covered as a correspondent.
