One third of the funds needed to expand the Genevilliers power plant in the suburbs of Paris was supplied by ECA counterpart funds. New boilers, turbines and two 100,00 kW per hour generators were isntalled in 1949. One of the generators – the largest in Europe – was made in America; the other was builts by the Genevilliers plant itself.
