The George C. Marshall Foundation will host its annual community open house in honor of the 59th anniversary of the dedication of their building in Lexington, Virginia, on Sunday, May 7, at 1:30 p.m. at its building on VMI post. Activities include tours of the library and archives, artifact show-and-tell, games, door prizes, and refreshments. Director of Library and Archives, Melissa Davis, will present “Marshall and Friends,” a multimedia lecture about the famous faces General Marshall encountered during his illustrious career, including President Dwight D. Eisenhower, future monarch Princess Elizabeth, and actress Lucille Ball, at 3:30 p.m. in the Pogue Auditorium. The event is free to the public and open to all ages, but reservations are recommended by Tuesday, May 2, and required by Friday, May 5.
