    We are located on the Post of VMI just off of the Parade Ground adjacent to Smith Hall at 340 VMI Parade Lexington, Virginia.  The building sign is clearly marked as The George C. Marshall Foundation. 

  • Do I need an appointment to enter the building?arrow

    Yes. For library appointments, please contact library staff at [email protected]. For all other appointments, please contact the appropriate Marshall Foundation staff member using the contact directory at 540.463.7103. 

  • How do I enter the building?arrow

    Visitors with the required appointment may enter the building through the front doors or by calling the Marshall Foundation staff member you are visiting using the contact directory at 540.463.7103.

  • Is the Marshall Museum still open?arrow

    No, but a small collection of artifacts remains on display in the library. The Marshall Foundation opens its doors to guests for special events, when these objects are viewable to the public.

    Donate online
    Use our online form to make a single or monthly donation. Payment can be made via credit card, PayPal, or by debiting your bank account.

  • Is the George C. Marshall Foundation a 501(c)(3) organization?arrow

    Yes. The Marshall Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and gifts to it are tax deductible to the full extent provided by law. 

  • Does the Marshall Foundation receive support from the Virginia Military Institute?arrow

    No. Although VMI is a valued partner, the George C. Marshall Foundation receives no support from VMI. 

  • Are there any benefits for donating to the Marshall Foundation?arrow

    Yes. In appreciation of a gift of $250 or more, or if a donor sets-up a recurring gift (regardless of amount) on our website, they receive The Words of George C. Marshall, a collection of his most inspirational and insightful quotations, and a subscription to our publications, Marshall magazine and The Strategist newsletter. Donors are also recognized for their giving in the spring issue of The Strategist each year.
