Dr. Mark E. Grotelueschen teaches strategic studies and serves as the Deputy Head for Academics in the Department of Military and Strategic Studies at the USAF Academy .  A 27 year veteran of the Air Force, he holds degrees from the United States Air Force Academy, the University of Calgary, and Texas A&M University.  He is the author of The AEF Way of War: The American Army and Combat in World War I (Cambridge UP), and, most recently, the editor of The Harmon Memorial Lectures in Military History, 1988-2017 (Air University Press, 2020).  He’s currently writing a book on the St Mihiel Offensive.
