The document is memorandum the War Department to the Office of the Adjutant General. The memorandum is a response to changes proposed by the Infantry School to the Chief of the Infantry in a letter from January 9, 1929. In the memorandum the Secretary of War approves changes to AR 350-200, allowing for a reorganization of the Academic Department from five sections to just four, with changed subject matters and a decrease in instructors. Marshall spearheaded the reorganization of the Academic Department to better reflect his pedagogy and make for more efficient learning.
