The document is a memorandum from the Office of the Chief of the Infantry to Section III (the Weapons Section) of the Infantry School. In the memorandum the Chief of the Infantry wishes to establish time for the Infantry School students to receive instructions on the use of and familiarization of the Tank. The document shows a keep aspect in the success of Marshall’s Benning Revolution. The success lied in the fact that the Chief of the Infantry, who all changes went through, shared Marshall’s emphasis of combined-arms and mechanized warfare. Without the support of the Chief of the Infantry many of Marshall’s changes to the curriculum would have never been published in new regulations.
