In March of 1951 the Elizabeth Daily Journal (New Jersey) was proposing an article written about the “miserable” mail delivery in Korea for Marine personnel. This packet of document includes memorandum from the Head of the Postal Affairs Office to the Director or Personnel Department for the Marine Corps. It outlines the investigation that took place to see whether or not the newspaper’s allegations were true. The inspection found it was not. The packet also includes a letter from Marshall to Honorable Clifford P. Case, House of Representatives regarding the article and inspection.
