Much of the construction equipment for the Ottmarsheim dam in Alsace was imported with the aid of Marshall Plan funds. Ottmarsheim comprises a 10 mile canal, a huge set of double locks as big as those of the Panama Canal, and a giant power station with four 53,000 HP turbines.
