There are many ways that you can make a difference by supporting the Marshall Foundation, but when you plan a gift to us as part of your long-term estate and financial plans, you will help us ensure that George C. Marshall’s example of service, leadership, and patriotism will forever shine like a beacon.
Planned gifts come in many forms, including but not limited to:
• A bequest to the Marshall Foundation in your will
• Naming the Marshall Foundation as a beneficiary of your retirement plan
• Giving through a charitable trust
Regardless of the form, planned gifts are forward-looking and support the needs of the foundation into the future. They provide needed financial support to the Marshall Foundation and help to guarantee that it will be here for many years to tell General Marshall’s important story.
And planned gifts benefit you, as well. They may allow you to enjoy financial or tax benefits while also helping preserve the enduring legacy of America’s greatest citizen soldier. Making a planned gift can create a win-win situation for you, your family, and for the Marshall Foundation.
Sample bequest language:
“I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to the George C. Marshall Foundation (GCMF) (Tax ID #54-6052427) of Lexington, Virginia, the sum of $_______________.”
Or: “I hereby give, devise, and bequest to the George C. Marshall Foundation (Tax ID #54-6052427) of Lexington, Virginia all (or state a percentage) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).”
