Join us as we create teams and work together on a Minecraft building challenge. Please feel free to bring your own Xbox 360 controller!

Sometimes it’s easy to tell the good guy from the bad guy. Other times, it isn’t. Join us to learn about propaganda graphic art, see George C. Marshall’s comic books and create your own graphic novel artwork. Coming dressed as your favorite superhero or villain is encouraged!

April 30, 2016 1-3 PM – Building & Moving
General Marshall was known for his planning skills. He moved millions of tons of supplies and men all over the world! Join us as we design, build and move marbles in a marble run!

May 21, 2016 1-3 PM – Old School Tech
Join us this month to explore World War I and World War II technology, discuss how technology changes over time and build your own bot for the Brush Bot Challenge!

June 11, 2016 1-3 PM – Take a Risk!
General Marshall was often thinking three steps ahead when it came to the Army. This month we will explore strategic thinking with a game day! Risk, Chess, Ticket to Ride, and other strategy games will be available to play!

July 30, 2016 1-3 PM – Marshall the Wizard
George Marshall was called the Wizard of WWI. Another famous wizard celebrates his birthday this month! Come dressed in your favorite Hogwarts’ house colors, play Quidditch, identify Muggle artifacts, and make invisible ink.

August 27, 2016 – Father of the Jeep
Did you know that General Marshall was the father of the Jeep? Find out how the Jeep came to be, sit in an authentic Jeep Willy and create your own origami Jeeps and tanks to take home.

September 24, 2016 – Weapons of War
Explore the museum’s wide selection of guns, knives and other weapons from ancient Chinese to World War II. Together we will build balloon rockets and make marshmallow catapults and see which creation works best!

October 22, 2016 – It’s a Mystery
Mysteries can be spooky, but often it’s fun to uncover the truth. This month learn about the Friedmans, their secret codes and crack the case of the Museum Zombie.

November 19, 2016 – Make Do
During World War II many items were rationed and people learned to ‘make do’ with what they had. Often they improvised to create something new. This month we will create duct tape crafts and see what your Thanksgiving would have tasted like if you had lived with rations.

December 3, 2016 – Happy Birthday George!
General Marshall was born on December 31st, 1880. This month we will learn a bit more about his life as a kid and celebrate with a cupcake war! Use the ingredients on hand to decorate your cupcake. Most original design wins!
